Bhoomi was born on the year 1989 in Vadodara ( Gujarat, Indian ) to a family with dense musical background and started learning music when she was studying in Std VIII. Her father was also very fond of music but working for Indian Railways. But her mother was a professional folk singer with an established crew of band. Her elder sister is a trained Bharat Natyam dancer. Bhoomi with her elder sister and mother used to perform on Navaratri ceremonies regularly. She used to participate in School and College events that made her capable enough to engulf stage fears and crowds. The confidence and madness of singing led her to the stage of Indian Idol at the age of 21, where she auditioned and got selected. In season 3, she got selected but forced to quit later due to Jaundice symptoms. She then tried for same next year ( Indian Idol Season 4) and hit the bulls eye again. This time, her fortune again took the wrong turn as her closest ever aunt demised away because of breast cancer. This again dragged her focus away and put her under the deep shadows of sorrow. But this is not the end of her struggling story. She again rose up and auditioned for season 5 of Indian Idol and succeed to hog herself till finals.
